2024-25 Transfer Applications
During the Board of Education’s meeting held on Dec. 7, 2023, the Board adopted a policy related to open enrollment. Read new policy JBCC that applies to non-resident students. The policy’s adoption was required by Kansas House Bill 2567, which is a Kansas law that applies to all public schools in the state and takes effect beginning with the 2024-25 school year. Prior to adopting policy JBCC the Board of Education held a public hearing on Nov. 2, 2023. HB 2567 requires all districts to allow non-resident students, who reside in Kansas, to enroll in and attend any school if the district has the capacity.

High School Open Houses
Families who reside out-of-district and are planning to apply for the Open Enrollment lottery will have an opportunity to attend High School Open Houses this spring. All five Olathe high schools will host an Open House from 5-7 p.m. on April 17, offering out-of-district families an opportunity to visit the building(s) and learn more about the school community. Families should contact individual high schools with any questions regarding the open house.
