To all the families of our Northview students,

Welcome to and welcome back to Northview Elementary. The PTO is very excited about the upcoming year and all of the work that we are going to do to support the teachers and the students.

Did you know that the PTO works on fundraising enough funds each year to pay for the following items:

• Every student receives a Northview Elementary T-shirt to wear during events and to wear on field trips.
• All-school field trips
• Extra school supplies for all classrooms, including the specials (computer, music, art, library, etc.)
• Teacher appreciation gifts
• Any additional things the school may need some extra funds for

We need your involvement to help make this a great year for your students. We have a few major events planned throughout the year as well as a few minor.

Some of the smaller things that we do to fundraise are:

• My Coke Rewards – send your coke bottle tops in for money for the school or you can enter the code yourself and donate money directly to the school
• Food Nights – these are still to be determined, but this is where flyers will be sent out to the parents recommending you eat at a specific place on a specific date at a specific time. We then receive a percentage of the food sales.

We are still in need of some volunteers to help us run these events. Even if you can only donate an hour of your time each month, we could absolutely use it. Please also come learn about our budget and what we are spending all of the money on that will help our students this year.

Fundraise and/or Donate to Northview Elementary

Box Tops for Education

Join us in raising money for the students at Northview Elementary by submitting Box Tops for Education! We receive roughly 10 cents for every box top and each month the PTO will be sending out Box Top for Education sheets to help your family collect box tops and send them in each month. Annually, we receive roughly $300 from this and this year we hope to double that amount!

Coke Rewards

Did you know that if you create a My Coke Rewards account, enter the codes found on the bottles, 12 packs, and 24 packs that you can donate anywhere from 5 cents (for the bottles) up to 30 cents for the 24 packs? All you have to do is search for Northview Elementary School in Olathe for schools to donate to. You can also send in all the coke bottle caps to the PTO as well. We have a Coke Rewards bin located in the front area of the school across from the main office.

Trash Bags

We have multiple sizes of 100% Recycled Plastic Trash Bags for Sale. The cost is only $13 per roll and they are available in these sizes:

• 18 gal. (white),
• 30 gal. (black),
• 39 gal. (yellow) and
• 55 gal. (green).
