Welcome to another great school year at Frontier Trail! We are excited to have every school year running in a positive way.
We set high expectations for students and staff at Frontier Trail. We are looking forward to helping each student grow socially, emotionally, and academically. Students who excel at Frontier Trail have one common factor, which is supportive and involved parents.

Frontier Trail’s student population is approximately 700 students.
School History
Frontier Trail Middle School opened in August 1989. Located on the southeast boundary of Olathe, Frontier Trail serves a diverse population.
Frontier Trail offers a variety of clubs, service organizations, activities and competitions to enhance the middle school experience. Pep Club, Drama Club, WEB (Where Everyone Belongs), KAY Club, student publications (newspaper and yearbook), Dance Team, Cheerleading, athletics, music competitions, the Honor Roll program, Math Counts and Trail Challenge are all activities which appeal to a wide variety of students.
Opportunities for parent involvement include School Site Council, Youth Mentors and parent/teacher conferences.
