    Student Late Arrival Procedures

If you are dropping off your student after the start of school, please follow these procedures:

    1. Either email or call the school to report the late arrival so we know why they are not in class prior to the start of school.
    2. When you bring your student to school, you don’t have to walk them in. Call the office to advise that they have arrived and send them into the building.

    Student Early Pick Up Procedures

If you need to pick up your student prior to dismissal time, please follow these procedures:

    1. Either email or call the school at least 1 hour prior to pick up time so a pass may be delivered to your student. Sending a note with your student when they arrive at school is acceptable notification as well. Early notification will prevent you from having to wait longer.
    2. Come to the door with your ID and ring the doorbell. We will buzz you inside and check your ID while you sign out your student.

    Dropping Off Forgotten Items

If you need to drop off a forgotten item, please follow these procedures:

    1. You must present your ID to the camera at the door in order to enter the building every time you visit our school.
    2. Items will be left on a table in the foyer for your student to pick up between classes. The item must be marked with their name and grade — preferably in a bag. Please bring the item already marked.
    3. The student will be notified over the intercom between classes to come to the office to retrieve their item — no classes will be interrupted to deliver items.

    Tardy Policy

Students need to be in their first hour class on time so they are ready to learn. The first hour tardy bell rings at 8:20 a.m. Each quarter, students can have up to four first hour tardies without any consequences. After a student is late to first hour four times, a letter will be emailed home to parents notifying them. Students who are late for the fifth time will receive lunch detention, and each tardy after that until the next quarter. Examples of being late to first hour include: talking to their friends too long in the hallway, oversleeping, or leaving the house late. We understand that unforeseen issues will occur and that is why we give them four excused tardies each quarter. Students will start over with zero tardies at the beginning of each quarter.

    Phones/Earbuds

We require students to turn their phones off when they arrive at school and put them in their backpacks. On some occasions, a teacher may allow them to take the phone out during class. Once that class period is over, the phone will need to be returned to the student's backpack. NO EXCEPTIONS!

***Phones must remain in backpacks during lunch, or they will be held in the office until the end of the day.***

If your student needs to use a phone during the day, there is a phone in the office available for student use.

Earbuds are not to be worn during passing periods. Students will need earbuds for districtwide assessments and certain activities deemed necessary by the teacher. Otherwise, they are to be kept in the student's backpack. Some earbuds are very expensive and are easily misplaced. If you are concerned about these earbuds, they should remain at home. We are not responsible for lost or misplaced earbuds.
