    (Sept. 23, 1957 —           )

A self-described “science and math nerd” in high school, David Lee is now known by many as a humanitarian. As a medical oncologist with Olathe Health, David has been described by his patients as “compassionate,” “good natured” and “positive.” He graduated with honors from Baker University and went on to graduate from the University of Kansas School of Medicine in 1983. David established his medical practice in 1988 and remained a solo practitioner until joining his first partner in 2004. David began serving as medical director for Olathe Hospice in 1989, and was chief of medicine at Olathe Medical Center for two years. He has been named to the SuperDoctors.com annual list of top doctors nominated by their peers and selected after independent research 11 times (from 2007-17). The criteria for that honor included peer recognition and professional achievement. David worked diligently to help build the cancer program at Olathe Medical Center, and serves on the Olathe Cancer Center capital campaign committee and Olathe Health Charitable Foundation.
