Olathe North High School Class of 1997
(April 24, 1979 — )
Among the top 10 in her class at Olathe North, Kimberly continued her education by earning a biology degree from Wartburg College and her doctorate from Kansas City University’s College of Osteopathic Medicine. Before and during medical school, Kimberly took her knowledge of Spanish on medical missions to Mexico and Guatemala. She completed her specialty training in physical medicine and rehabilitation at the University of Kansas and began as a staff physician at Saint Luke’s Hospital in 2009. Kimberly helped open Saint Luke’s Rehabilitation Institute in 2019, where she works with patients, their families and therapists to get patients home and back into the community. Her focus is stroke, spinal cord injury and amputation rehabilitation — always offering a compassionate and nurturing bedside manner to her patients — and sharing her expertise with medical professionals and community organizations. Kimberly served a decade on the American Stroke Foundation board and received their Rose Award for Philanthropy and Community Leadership. In her personal time, Kimberly is involved in church, family and Philanthropic Educational Organization (P.E.O.) activities.
